The current range of storage solutions covers Storage Area Networks (SANs) and Network Attached Storage (NAS). SANs provide block level access to centralised data using either dedicated Fibre Channel Networks, or the newer iSCSI protocol over a traditional Local Area Networks (LANs) or Wide Area Networks (WANs). NAS solutions, on the other hand, offer file-system level access to data over LANs and WANs.
